[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Nowon-gu (District Mayor Oh Seung-rok) is recruiting 1,381 participants for the 'COVID-19 Overcome Hope Job Project' until July 3.
This Hope Job Project is designed for vulnerable groups facing crises such as unemployment due to the prolonged economic downturn caused by COVID-19.
Eligible participants are Nowon-gu residents aged 18 or older as of the project start date, July 21, who have the ability to work and belong to employment-vulnerable groups (including those who have experienced job loss or business closure due to COVID-19), those on leave, or unpaid leave, and who require livelihood support due to the local economic downturn. However, recipients of livelihood benefits may have their eligibility suspended depending on their income.
Working conditions are as follows: for those aged 65 or older, work is 3 hours per day, 5 days a week, with a daily wage of 26,000 KRW. For those under 65, a 3-hour workday pays 26,000 KRW, 6 hours pays 52,000 KRW, and 8 hours pays 69,000 KRW. Meal allowance (5,000 KRW) is paid separately, and weekly and monthly leave allowances are also provided.
The project period is five months, from July 21 to December 20. Participants will work in office jobs (administrative and computer tasks, etc.), field jobs (cleaning, park outdoor work along rivers, etc.), and public service support (customer and civil complaint guidance, surveys, COVID-19 quarantine, etc.).
Applications can be submitted by visiting the local community service center at the applicant’s registered address. If the number of applicants exceeds the recruitment quota, selection will prioritize those with fewer public job project participations in the past two years. Results will be individually notified by the relevant department on July 13.
For detailed information about the Hope Job Project recruitment, inquiries can be made at the local community service center or the Nowon-gu Office Job and Economy Division.
