Genesis Unveils 2021 G90 and Limited Edition G90
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Genesis unveiled the 2021 G90 and the G90 Special Edition 'Stardust' with enhanced features on the 26th, and sales will begin on the 2nd of next month.
The 2021 G90 features Genesis Adaptive Control Suspension and Intelligent Headlights as standard across all trims, along with rear parking collision-avoidance assist and new 19-inch wheels, improving both driving convenience and product appeal.
The Genesis Adaptive Control Suspension minimizes vibrations according to driving conditions and appropriately distributes damping force between the front and rear wheels, enhancing not only ride comfort but also driving stability.
The Intelligent Headlights detect preceding and oncoming vehicles through a front camera when the high beams are on, selectively turning off the high beams only in the areas where vehicles are detected. This ensures forward visibility for the G90 driver while preventing glare for other drivers.
The Rear Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist warns the driver and automatically controls the brakes if necessary when a pedestrian or obstacle is detected during low-speed reversing for parking or exiting, helping ensure safe driving.
Additionally, Genesis will produce and sell a limited edition of 50 units of the 2021 G90 Special Edition called 'Stardust.'
Exclusively available in the domestic market, 'Stardust' expresses the image of a celebrity receiving dazzling camera flashes on a red carpet beneath a sparkling Milky Way in the night sky, inspired by the luxury custom-made fashion 'Haute Couture.'
Notably, Stardust is crafted in a dark gray base with sparkling particles shining in carbon metal and bic black two-tone colors. Since part of the production is hand-finished in a separate painting line, the quantity is inevitably limited. The interior features two-tone Nappa leather and embroidered exclusive seats, black headlining, and metallic pore black ash real wood, completing a design that emphasizes the pinnacle of elegance.
Stardust is based on the 2021 G90 5.0 Prestige trim and will be exhibited at Genesis Gangnam, Genesis Studio Hanam, and Busan Auto Square.
The prices for the 2021 G90 are as follows: the 3.8 model Luxury trim at 79.03 million KRW, Premium Luxury at 93.75 million KRW, and Prestige at 111.91 million KRW; the 3.3 Turbo model Luxury trim at 81.97 million KRW, Premium Luxury at 96.7 million KRW, and Prestige at 114.86 million KRW; the 5.0 model Prestige at 119.77 million KRW, Limousine at 156.09 million KRW, and Stardust at 132.53 million KRW.
