Jeongeup-si '2030 Jeongeup-si Urban Regeneration Strategic Plan' Final Approval by Jeonbuk Province
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 25th that it will revise the 2030 Urban Regeneration Strategic Plan to align with changing urban conditions for the efficient and smooth promotion of the 7th term Urban Regeneration New Deal project.
Earlier, on the 18th, the city’s ‘Urban Regeneration Strategic Plan (Revision)’ received final approval from Jeonbuk Province.
The revised strategic plan presents the vision of “Urban regeneration with diversity and abundance, advancing together with Jeongeup,” and sets promotion strategies including the recovery of local commercial districts and communities, realization of neighborhood regeneration, and customized regeneration by region.
According to the plan revision, the previously selected revitalization areas were subdivided, and a total of 14 urban regeneration revitalization areas were designated, including the areas around Shintaein Station and Taein Hyanggyo.

A city official stated, “With this revision of the urban regeneration strategic plan, a response plan linked to the government’s Urban Regeneration New Deal project has been prepared,” adding, “We will focus on promoting urban regeneration projects to enhance urban competitiveness and improve citizens’ quality of life.”
