Composed of Smart Space, Big Data Room, 3D Making Room, Digital Drawing Room, Coding Cafe, Deep Learning Room, AI Room, Drone & Autonomous Driving Room... Opening Ceremony on the 26th at 2 PM Online

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) is opening the ‘Seodaemun-gu Lifelong Learning Center & Convergence Talent Education Center’ on the 26th to expand educational opportunities tailored to lifelong learning for residents and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The opening ceremony will be held online for about 45 minutes starting at 2 p.m. with a drone show by students from Myongji College, conducted via the video conferencing platform ‘Zoom’.
During the event, school and lifelong education institution officials, learning club members, and general residents will join online, with greetings delivered by Moon Seok-jin, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, and Yoo Jae-jun, Director of the Seoul Western Education Support Office.
A congratulatory video message from David Atchoarena, Director of the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning, will also be screened.
Yu Chan, a Seodaemun TV creator, will introduce the various classrooms within the center where programs such as Coding & Music, IoT Smart Home, Webtoon, 3D Printing, and Media Making will be held.
General participants can join via the provided link or watch through Seodaemun-gu Office’s YouTube live broadcast.
The Seodaemun-gu Lifelong Learning Center & Convergence Talent Education Center (49, Yeonhui-ro 36-gil) occupies 585㎡ over two floors and is equipped with Smart Space, Big Data Room, 3D Making Room, Digital Drawing Room, Coding Cafe, Deep Learning Room, AI Room, Drone and Autonomous Driving Room, and Media Production Room.
Educational content covers virtual reality, artificial intelligence, autonomous driving, big data, drones, Internet of Things, robotics, 3D production, digital experiences, and fostering citizenship in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Additionally, the center will support youth and adult learning club activities related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, volunteer activity linkage, online educational content production support, and teacher training programs.
The ‘School-linked Course’ is designed for students from 4th grade elementary to middle school, while the ‘General Course’ targets adult residents, local workers, teachers, and instructors.
