Professor Hong Yong Elected as the 8th President of Jeonju University Professors' Association

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Geon-ju] The Jeonbuk Jeonju University Professors' Association officially elected Professor Hong Yong of the Department of Exercise Prescription, College of Medical Science, as the 8th new president who will lead the association for the next two years starting this September.
According to Jeonju University on the 25th, the newly elected President Hong Yong is the first alumnus professor president of Jeonju University (class of '86) and has various social and academic experiences, including serving as a director of the Jeonbuk Sports Council and an advisory member of the National Health Insurance Corporation.
This election, conducted both online and offline due to COVID-19, resulted in Professor Hong Yong's victory with 67% of valid votes in favor.
President Hong Yong emphasized, "The foundation of Jeonju University's existence and development is its students, and for the healthy growth and bright future of the students, I will prioritize cooperation not only with the Professors' Association but also with the university headquarters and administrative departments."
