Muscle Beach is located in Venice, Los Angeles, USA, and is known as a sacred place for bodybuilders. It attracts many young people who want to show off their muscles, and many tourists gather to see them.
Wando County is promoting a Muscle Beach development project to attract young tourists and foreigners to Sinji Myeongsasipri Beach.
Ten types of fitness equipment, including pull-up bars, parallel bars, and resistance bands, were installed in a 330㎡ pine forest area of Myeongsasipri Beach. The place where the fitness equipment is installed is shaded by large pine trees, allowing use even during the strong midday sun.
Additionally, being close to the seaside, it is characterized by the ability to enjoy exercise while breathing in the cool sea breeze and marine aerosols to the fullest.
The county plans to enhance visitors' satisfaction by temporarily operating a health food stall that sells designated specific menus in addition to the existing items to meet the demand for healthy and diverse food options.
Sin Woo-cheol, the governor of Wando County, said, “Ahead of the promotion of ‘2021 Wando Visit Year,’ which aims to attract 5 million tourists, we will create Muscle Beach at Myeongsasipri Beach to attract young people and make it the best domestic center for health, leisure, and marine healing where dynamic and diverse cultures can be enjoyed.”
