Muan-gun, Training Individual Media Creators
Recruiting 30 Prospective Young Media Creators
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 24th that it will recruit trainees for a one-person media creator training project to nurture media professionals by the 7th of next month in preparation for the digital and non-face-to-face era.
This project was prepared in line with the rapid growth of the online and mobile advertising markets and the activation of one-person creative content, and the project budget is supported after being selected in March for the ‘Jeonnam-type Companion Job Contest Project.’
The training will be conducted for 30 county residents aged 19 to under 45, providing basic media education at the county computer training center and youth center from the 13th of next month to September 29th, about two months. Among them, nine outstanding creators will be selected and operated in two courses including customized consulting education.
Trainees will learn the overall video production process, independently producing content from planning to shooting and editing. The curriculum also includes tax, accounting, discovering startup items, writing business plans, and guidance on small and medium enterprise support systems for low-capital one-person startups.
In particular, it plans to provide opportunities to learn about the media ecosystem through special lectures by famous creators.
Additionally, the ‘One-person Media Studio,’ which the county is creating as a youth policy project this year, will open in mid-next month at the youth center with two spaces equipped with the latest equipment: a shooting room and an editing room, and will operate by reservation.
A Muan County official said, “To prevent the spread of COVID-19, we will strictly follow social distancing guidelines in daily life and do our best to prevent it. We hope that prospective young entrepreneurs will use this training as a stepping stone to enter the media industry and that the base of the media industry will expand further.”
