International Design Competition for 'Guknip Dosi Geonchuk Bakmulgwan' to be Held on the 7th of Next Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] A competition for the design of the National Urban Architecture Museum will be held.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 24th that, together with the Administrative City Construction Agency, it will issue a notice for the international design competition for the National Urban Architecture Museum on the 7th of next month.
The final winning design is expected to be selected around October.
The National Urban Architecture Museum is being promoted as part of the Sejong City Happy City Museum Complex project, which involves building five museums together to provide citizens with diverse cultural experiences.
The basic design for the Urban Architecture Museum will commence within this year, with construction starting in 2022 and the opening targeted for 2025.
A total project cost of 90 billion KRW will be invested, and the museum will be built with 2 basement floors and 4 above-ground floors.
