[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Samil Accounting Corporation announced on the 24th that it has carried out new partner appointments and organizational restructuring through a general meeting of partners. In this appointment, 25% of the total new partners were female accountants.
On this day, Samil Accounting Corporation announced the appointment of 31 new partners. Among the new partners, a record-high eight female partners were included. As of this month, the total number of partners at Samil Accounting Corporation is 299, of which 32 are female partners.
The audit division, previously led by the new CEO Yoon Hoon-soo, will now be headed by Partner Oh Gi-won, the head of the Quality Control Office. This reflects the intention to further emphasize 'quality-first' in the audit services, which form the foundation of the accounting firm.
Yoo Sang-soo, head of the Corporate Finance Headquarters, will take charge as the head of the Deal Division. With this organizational restructuring, the Deal Division has been divided into six teams, appointing industry experts and service specialists separately. Samil plans to pursue a horizontal organizational culture internally by operating the organization with flexibility and expertise to respond swiftly to market and customer changes.
The roles of CRO and head of the Quality Control Office, previously held by Partner Oh Gi-won, have been split into two. Partner Lee Yong-jae was appointed as the new CRO, and Partner Hong Ki-soo as the new head of the Quality Control Office.
Additionally, Partner Lee Myung-seop, leader of Information and Computer Technology, was appointed as Chief Digital Officer (CDO) to develop work styles suitable for the new normal era and to invest in digital and advanced technologies necessary for infrastructure operation supporting this.
The tax advisory division, which continues to show stable growth, will maintain the current leadership under Division Head Joo Jeong-il. One headquarters in the international tax field will be expanded and reorganized to support companies' global management strategies.
Furthermore, in line with the organizational operation direction of people-centered management and digital innovation, new partners were selected in the human resources and information technology (IT) fields respectively to strengthen the organization.
The general meeting of partners was held via an online video conference with about 300 partners.
CEO Yoon Hoon-soo emphasized, "To further enhance Samil's capabilities, which have maintained stable growth as the number one accounting firm in the market so far, we will pursue collective intelligence through the creation of a horizontal organizational culture while establishing an organized and transparent decision-making system."
