Jangsu-gun Provides Saengsaeng Support Fund for Young Unemployed
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Go Dallyeong] Jangsu-gun announced on the 24th that it will additionally recruit participants for the ‘COVID-19 Response Youth Saengsaeng Support Fund Support Project’ until the 12th of next month.
The ‘Youth Saengsaeng Support Fund Support Project’ is a program that provides up to 500,000 KRW per month in Jangsu Love Gift Certificates for up to three months to support the livelihood stabilization and social entry activities of young unemployed workers who lost their jobs in part-time, short-term, daily labor, or part-time jobs due to the spread of COVID-19.
Eligibility for this project requires youths aged 18 to 39 who have worked for 15 days or more in part-time, short-term, daily labor, or part-time jobs and are currently unemployed as of the application date after January 20, the date of the first confirmed COVID-19 case in Korea, and who have their resident registration address in Jangsu-gun.
However, the location of the unemployed workplace can be anywhere nationwide, and the applicant must not be participating in similar projects by the government or other local governments.
In the second recruitment, qualifications were relaxed to support youths in employment blind spots, such as those not enrolled in employment insurance, and the application window was expanded to include offline submissions as well as online, allowing more youths to participate in the project.
Youths wishing to participate in the project can apply online through the Jeonbuk Youth Hub Center website, and applications can also be made via the popup banner on the Jangsu-gun Office website.
