Shinhan Bank Partners with SKT to Provide Specialized Support for Small Business Owners
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] Shinhan Bank announced on the 24th that it has signed a business agreement with SK Telecom to support small business owners struggling due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and other challenges.
Through this business agreement, Shinhan Bank and SK Telecom plan to develop specialized products and services that combine the financial and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) services each company possesses to support small business owners.
The two companies will link Shinhan Bank's corporate-exclusive mobile app, scheduled for release in August, with SK Telecom's small business online platform 'Bizit' to provide integrated financial products and services tailored for small business owners, including tax and commercial area analysis information necessary for startups and business operations, specialized savings and deposit accounts, loans, and management consulting.
Additionally, they will launch financial and ICT package products and services offering benefits such as preferential loan interest rates and discounts on internet and IPTV usage fees. They will also collaborate to combine non-financial data held by SK Telecom with Shinhan Bank's corporate loan credit evaluation model to utilize it in credit assessments.
