Gwangju Dong-gu 'Yongsan 119 Safety Center' Opens... Providing Prompt Firefighting Services
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] It has become possible to provide faster fire services in case of emergencies in the Yongsan district of Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.
On the 23rd, the Gwangju Eastern Fire Station held an opening ceremony for the new Yongsan 119 Safety Center building and hosted a commemorative event to pledge the provision of the best fire services.
The commemorative event was held in a simplified manner to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the local community.
The construction of the new Yongsan 119 Safety Center began in November 2018 and was completed in May of this year, with a total floor area of 860㎡ across three above-ground floors.
With the opening of the Yongsan 119 Safety Center, it is expected that securing rapid fire response routes and improving the working environment for on-site firefighters will enable the provision of high-quality fire services to citizens.
