Umi Construction to Open Lifestyle Park 'Lake Como' in Dongtan 2 New City on the 26th
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Woomi Construction announced on the 23rd that it will open the complex commercial space 'Lake Como' located at 181 Dongtan-daero, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do on the 26th and hold various events.
Lake Como is a complex commercial space with a Lifestyle Park concept developed and constructed directly by Woomi Construction. It is a commercial facility within the 'Dongtan Lin Strauss The Lake' residential-commercial complex, consisting of six floors from basement level 3 to ground level 3, with a total exclusive area of 23,100㎡, connected to Dongtan Lake Park.
The anchor tenants popular among consumers are also impressive. The main tenant is the coffee brand TERAROSA. The TERAROSA Dongtan Lake Park branch creates a unique atmosphere where colorful artwork harmonizes with antique items, moving away from the traditional coffee factory style. In addition, it features TERAROSA's first pizzeria restaurant, a beautiful flower bar, a coffee bar, and an art shop selling art products.
Lifestyle shops that were previously only found in urban hotspots like Euljiro and Seongsu have also opened. The complex has attracted Dingul Store, a curated shop presenting a new style by gathering small brands, and Arc N Book, where visitors can enjoy books and culture together.
In December of last year, Modern House opened its first premium-level store in Dongtan New Town, selling a variety of products including furniture, bedding, and kitchenware.
Lake Como was designed considering its geographical and architectural features and symbolism, divided into the Lake Zone directly connected to the lake, the Plaza Zone where activities and festivals take place, and the Street Zone where diverse tastes coexist with F&B and retail. In particular, Songdong-gil in the Street Zone is named after the original local name Songdong, meaning a neighborhood with many pine trees, and was planned to allow local small business owners to showcase various personalities.
Inspired by the popularity of art installations as local SNS hotspots, Lake Como will hold an 'Art Point Stamp Tour' event on the 26th. Participants who upload certification photos taken with the artworks on Instagram and collect stamps will receive souvenirs.

A Woomi Construction official said, “Woomi Construction, which has development know-how in various fields, directly owns and operates 70% of the total area of Lake Como. It will establish itself as a 'landmark' complex commercial space representing the southern metropolitan area where people can enjoy a lifestyle in harmony with nature, rather than a typical commercial space.”
