Gurye-gun Promotes Social Distancing in Daily Life... Campaign for Wearing Masks and More
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Mi-seok] On the 22nd, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it is making every effort to prevent infections within the region by strongly promoting the practice of social distancing in daily life, including wearing masks, targeting all residents of the county.
Recently, COVID-19 has been continuously spreading in the metropolitan area, and on the 20th, the 33rd confirmed COVID-19 case occurred in nearby Gwangju Metropolitan City.
Accordingly, the county condenses the latest trends related to COVID-19 from the central government and nearby regions and sends daily safety text messages, while broadcasting social distancing guidelines on electronic signboards and village broadcasts within the jurisdiction. Banners were posted throughout all towns and townships, and X banners were installed at the county office entrance and township community center entrances.
Since the spread of COVID-19 infection, the county has distributed a total of 240,000 masks to residents. After transitioning to a daily quarantine system, it secured a total of 395 non-contact thermometers and distributed them to multi-use facilities including senior centers, ensuring thorough distribution of public quarantine supplies.
It promotes wearing masks when using public transportation facilities and has provided masks at the bus terminal for those not wearing them. Posters promoting quarantine guidelines are posted at gathering places where many residents gather, such as senior centers and Yusanggak, guiding residents to practice social distancing in daily life.
