Korea FPSB Announces 744 Passers of the 75th Financial Planner Exam
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Kim] Korea FPSB announced on the 22nd that 744 candidates passed the 75th AFPK certification exam for domestic financial planners held on the 30th of last month.
The total number of applicants for this exam was 2,957, with a pass rate of 29.5%.
The number of applicants increased by 326 compared to the same period last year and by 472 compared to the previous exam held in December last year. Students accounted for the largest portion at 50.3%, followed by general applicants (20.5%), banking (11.8%), insurance (8.2%), securities (3%), and financial planning businesses (2.7%).
Detailed exam statistics are available on the Korea FPSB website, and the next 76th exam is scheduled for August 29.
The AFPK is a professional qualification that allows holders to provide services related to financial planning.

By obtaining the AFPK qualification, candidates can challenge the internationally certified financial planner CFP certification, which is conducted according to the International FPSB standards in 26 countries worldwide. The 37th CFP certification exam is scheduled for the 11th and 12th of next month, with applications accepted through the Korea FPSB website until the 29th of this month.
