Gyeongbuk Provincial Office of Education Announces 'Schedule Change' for Local Government Employee Recruitment Exam
"Measures Considering Postponement of Linked Qualification Exams Due to COVID-19"
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] The Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education announced on the 22nd a revised notice of the "2020 Gyeongbuk Office of Education Local Government Employee New Appointment Examination Schedule," which includes postponing the announcement date of the written exam passers this year.
This measure was taken due to the postponement of the national technical qualification exams that add extra points to the written exams for new appointments below grade 6, caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), and the revision of laws related to the recognition date criteria for national technical qualification certificates.
The main changes include the announcement date of the written exam passers being changed from July 10 to August 14, the interview exam date from August 7 to September 5, and the final passers announcement date from August 21 to September 18.
Additionally, for exams conducted by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea and others (only for specially applied categories), some certificates obtained by August 7 will be recognized even if acquired after the day before the written exam date (June 12). Due to this schedule change, the eligibility for the career competitive appointment exam targeting graduates (or expected graduates) of specialized high schools and Meister high schools will also be altered.
