Gwangju Buk-gu, 'Regulation Improvement Ideas' Contest to Change Residents' Lives
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Moon In) announced on the 22nd that it will hold a contest for regulatory improvement tasks under the theme of 'Regulatory Improvement Ideas That Change the Lives of Residents' until the 31st of next month.
This contest was prepared to solve various inconveniences experienced by residents, businesses, and small business owners in daily life or economic activities and to contribute to revitalizing the local economy, which has been stagnant due to COVID-19.
The contest fields are divided into daily life and economic activity sectors, including ▲ childbirth, childcare, welfare for low-income groups and the elderly ▲ transportation, housing, medical care ▲ employment and jobs for youth, career interrupters, and the elderly ▲ startups and production for self-employed, small business owners, and SMEs ▲ new technologies, new services, renewable energy, and advanced medical care, totaling five fields.
Participation methods include registering proposals on the National Sinmungo website or downloading the proposal form from the Buk-gu Office website and submitting it by mail, fax, or in person to the Planning and Coordination Office.
The submitted ideas will be comprehensively reviewed by the Proposal Review Committee in December based on creativity, economic feasibility, and applicability, and proposal grades will be determined. Winners will receive the Buk-gu District Mayor's Award along with prizes of 400,000 KRW for gold, 300,000 KRW for silver, 200,000 KRW for bronze, and 100,000 KRW for encouragement awards.
Buk-gu plans to promptly improve regulations that can be resolved internally among excellent tasks and actively consult with relevant ministries for regulations requiring legal or institutional improvements.
