"Island Village Community Regeneration" ... Gyeongnam Province Holds 'Desirable Island to Live' Project Briefing Session
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 22nd that it will hold a traveling project briefing session to promote the 'Islands Where You Want to Live' project. This briefing session is part of a project to develop islands at the edge of the land into new eco-tourism hubs and transform them into popular national recreational spots.
The 'Islands Where You Want to Live' project being promoted this year is differentiated from existing island development projects, according to Gyeongsangnam-do. While previous island-related projects focused on hardware developments such as constructing piers, breakwaters, and roads, this project emphasizes revitalizing island village communities by utilizing these foundational infrastructures.
The first briefing session will be held on the 24th at the Tongyeong Agricultural Technology Center. Islands in Changwon, Tongyeong, Geoje, and Goseong are the targets. The second briefing session will take place on the 25th in the main conference room of Sacheon City Hall, targeting islands in Sacheon, Namhae, and Hadong.
