[Public Notice+] DiosTech Decides to Issue 30 Billion KRW Worth of Shareholder-Preferential BW to Strengthen Lens Production Competitiveness
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Dios Tech, a company specializing in smartphone camera lenses, Dios Tech, announced on the 22nd that it will issue 30 billion KRW worth of bearer detachable warrants with no guarantee (BW).
The funds will be used for operating capital, research and development (R&D) expenses, and production capacity expansion. In particular, since the company filed a patent for a 100-megapixel camera lens it designed last month on the 25th, it plans to focus on additional R&D and strengthen production competitiveness to increase corporate value. Currently, Dios Tech holds the largest domestic production capacity for lens modules, reaching 200 million units annually.
This BW issuance will be conducted through a shareholder preferential allotment method to protect shareholder rights. Accordingly, shareholders will participate in the issuance first, followed by a general public offering. The company stated, “We have decided to continue investing to secure technological leadership amid the trend of ultra-high megapixels and multi-camera smartphones,” adding, “We will expand the choices for smartphone manufacturers by offering a broad product portfolio.”
