Duty-Free Stock Products Released Offline... Lotte Department Store Holds 'Duty-Free Luxury Brand Fair'
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] Duty-free stock products of overseas fashion brands will be actively distributed domestically.
Due to the difficulty of overseas travel caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the Korea Customs Service has temporarily allowed the domestic distribution of unsold duty-free stock. As a result, domestic consumers can purchase duty-free products without traveling abroad.
Lotte Department Store announced on the 21st that it will unveil luxury goods prepared for the Korea Together Sale starting on the 26th, marking the first offline event.
The department store directly purchased overseas fashion products from duty-free shops and will hold the event for five days from the 26th to the 30th at eight locations: Nowon Branch, Yeongdeungpo Branch, Daejeon Branch, Premium Outlet Paju Branch, Giheung Branch, Gimhae Branch, Outlet Gwangju Suwan Branch, and Daegu Isiapolis Branch. The biggest advantage of this special exhibition is that it is held offline, allowing consumers to check the products in person and receive them immediately after payment.
This special exhibition held by Lotte Department Store is based on the government’s temporary policy allowing the sale of duty-free products, and exchanges and returns are only possible during the event period.
