'Pyeonstorang' Han Ji-hye "Living in Jeju due to husband's transfer"... Challenges making 'Jeju Banh Mi'
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] Han Ji-hye revealed her daily life in Jeju.
On the afternoon of the 19th, on KBS 2TV's 'Pyeonstorang,' Han Ji-hye explained the reason for living in Jeju, saying, "My husband was assigned to Jeju Island, so I came along."
She said, "Because of my husband's job, we move every two years. After assignments in Seoul, Hongseong, Busan, Vienna, and Incheon, we ended up in Jeju Island."
Previously, Han Ji-hye married Jung Hyuk-jun, who is six years older, in 2010. Jung Hyuk-jun currently works at the Jeju District Prosecutors' Office.
Lee Kyung-kyu, watching the video in the studio, asked, "Is the house in Jeju rented on a jeonse (lump-sum deposit) basis?" Han Ji-hye explained, "It's a yeonse (monthly rent) where we pay a year's rent in advance."
She added, "We try not to move and live minimally, moving only the essentials little by little each time. Almost everything else is an option. The only things I brought were bedding and tableware."
That day, Han Ji-hye also revealed a small garden she personally tends to on the balcony connected to the master bedroom.
She said, "I'm a 10-year veteran housewife," and expressed pride in her cooking skills, saying, "These days, I'm deeply into the joy of cooking. My hometown is Gwangju, Jeollado, known for its food."
After completing Jeju banh mi and tangerine milk, Han Ji-hye said, "Days when you can see Hallasan are rare, so even if it's windy, you have to eat outside," continuing her meal while feeling the breeze outdoors.
