Pasoo Launches Confidential Document Management Service for Government and Public Institutions
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Fasoo announced on the 18th the launch of the ‘Daeoibi Nara Service’ for the security and management of confidential documents in government and public institutions.
Fasoo introduced a service that safely and efficiently manages confidential documents, which were previously stored offline in government public institutions, within an electronic system.
Confidential information classified as ‘Daeoibi’?which is not strong enough to be classified as a national secret but should not be disclosed to the public?was managed as secret documents. However, as the National Intelligence Service revised the enforcement regulations of security work rules treating Daeoibi as general documents, public institutions are preparing ways to electronically protect, manage, and utilize Daeoibi documents.
The Daeoibi Nara Service introduced by Fasoo is based on data-centric security technology to prevent unauthorized users from viewing, copying, duplicating, or distributing Daeoibi documents. It complies with electronic processing regulations for Daeoibi. When creating a Daeoibi document, it is encrypted in real-time, and each document is issued a tracking ID to identify duplicated documents and manage their possession status.
Document permissions can be controlled according to users, ranks, and positions, and if necessary, distributed permissions can be revoked to control document access. It provides prevention of copying and pasting of Daeoibi document content, screen security through screen watermarks, and output security through printed watermarks. Through a dedicated electronic approval system for Daeoibi, it offers user-customized approval processes and electronic signatures, and manages the document lifecycle with a management ledger.
Kang Bongho, head of Fasoo, said, "Recently, with the leakage of Daeoibi information such as COVID-19 confirmed patients’ movement paths and school attendance schedules, the importance of confidential document security and management has been emphasized."
