Suncheon City Health Center, Jeonnam's First to Expand Criteria for Multichild Families
Multi-Child Benefits Applied Starting from Families with Second Child Born After July 1
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City announced that it will be the first in Jeonnam to amend the "Suncheon City Low Birthrate Measures and Childbirth Encouragement Support Ordinance," expanding the criteria for multi-child families from "3 children" to "2 or more children."
According to the revised ordinance effective from July 1, families giving birth to a second child after July 1 will be recognized as multi-child families and will be able to receive the multi-child family certificate, which was previously issued only to families with three or more children.
The benefits available to multi-child families in Suncheon include more than 20 cultural and welfare benefits, support for volume-based waste bags (for 2 years), free use of Onnuri bicycles (for 1 year), and the multi-child family certificate can be applied for at the Eup, Myeon, and Dong administrative welfare centers.
