Haman-gun Conducts Comprehensive Cleanup of Farm Registers to Establish Order in Farmland Ownership and Leasing
If Violations Are Confirmed, Order to Dispose of Farmland and Imposition of Compulsory Execution Fees
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] On the 18th, Haman-gun, Gyeongnam announced that it will undertake a comprehensive overhaul of the Nongjiwonbu, which records the status of farmland and ownership/lease information.
The Nongjiwonbu is an official ledger in which agricultural corporations cultivating crops or perennial plants on farmland of 1,000㎡ or more or facilities of 330㎡ or more record the actual use of farmland. To be used as data for establishing agricultural and farmland-related policies, 9,226 cases have been maintained to date.
The county aims to complete the overall maintenance of the Nongjiwonbu by the end of this year. The initial targets for maintenance are cases where the location of the farmland and the address of the person responsible for the record differ, and cases where the owner is elderly, aged 80 or above. The maintenance of the Nongjiwonbu is conducted by comparing and analyzing it with other policy databases such as the land register and agricultural management entity registration information, as well as through on-site inspections.
In particular, if farmland information is unclear or does not match the management entity registration information of the person responsible for the record, a request for clarification will be made. If signs of illegal leasing are found, the case will be included in the farmland use status investigation, and if violations are confirmed, farmland disposal orders and enforcement fines will be imposed.
