Gyeongju City Decides to Provide COVID-19 Damage 'Local Employment 2nd Phase' Support to 3,510 People
Unpaid Leave, Special Type Workers, Freelancer Application Deadline
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gyeongju City, Gyeongsangbuk-do announced on the 18th that it has completed the decision for the second payment of the special job project for local employment response to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) applications received last month, and will pay each recipient 500,000 KRW (for additional applicants in March) and 370,000 KRW (for April).
In the first special support, out of 2,190 applications, 1,980 people received 990 million KRW in national funds. For this second special support, out of 4,125 applications, 3,510 people were approved to receive 1.805 billion KRW in national funds.
The "Special Support Job Project" (second phase), which supports unpaid leave workers at COVID-19 affected workplaces, workers in special types of employment, freelancers, and other laborers in blind spots without labor provision, completed application submissions by the 29th of last month through the Gyeongju City website, eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare centers, and registered mail.
