'Seoul Station Random Assault' 30s Suspect Sent to Prosecution Without Detention
Lee, who assaulted a woman he had never seen before at Seoul Station and fled, is leaving the court after attending the warrant hearing held at the Seoul Central District Court in Seocho-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 4th.

[Asia Economy Reporter Donghoon Jeong] Lee Mo (32), the suspect in the 'Seoul Station Random Assault Case,' will be sent to the prosecution without detention.
The Special Railway Judicial Police Unit announced on the 17th that they will not apply for an additional arrest warrant for Lee and plan to send him to the prosecution without detention.
Lee is accused of assaulting a woman in her 30s, whom he did not know, on the first floor of Seoul Station around 1:50 PM on the 26th of last month, causing injuries including a depressed left cheekbone, and then fleeing the scene. Lee was arrested by the railway police on the 2nd of this month and was found to have been suffering from schizophrenia.

The railway police applied for arrest warrants for Lee twice, but the court dismissed both, stating that "the emergency arrest itself was illegal" and "there is no risk of flight or evidence destruction." It is known that Lee is receiving inpatient treatment at a psychiatric hospital in the provinces with his parents.
