Nexon Launches Mobile New Title 'Rush' Based on Long-Running PC Game
Three New Mobile Releases in Two Months
Nexon’s 3 Mobile Games Rank in Google Play Top 10 Revenue
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Nexon is focusing its efforts on launching new mobile titles based on long-running PC games that have been around for over 10 years. They are releasing three new mobile titles consecutively within just two months. Thanks to the success of mobile titles including the MMORPG 'V4,' which was launched last November, three Nexon games ranked within the top 10 on the Google Play revenue chart.
According to the gaming industry on the 16th, Nexon plans to officially launch the new mobile MMORPG 'Baram-ui Nara: Yeon' on South Korea's two major app markets, Google Play and the Apple App Store, as early as next month. Nexon will begin pre-registration for Baram-ui Nara: Yeon starting on the 17th. Recently, Nexon opened a teaser page for Baram-ui Nara: Yeon, which is being developed in collaboration with mobile game developer Supercat. Baram-ui Nara: Yeon is based on Nexon's flagship long-running PC game 'Baram-ui Nara,' which was originally released in 1996. A Nexon official stated, "We have implemented the original's unique controls and the thrill of combat on mobile." The game shares the same universe as the original Baram-ui Nara, which is set in the early Three Kingdoms period featuring protagonists King Yuri and Prince Hodong. After two rounds of testing last year, final adjustments are underway to enhance the game's completeness.

FIFA Mobile, which holds the official FIFA license, attracted significant attention even before its launch with over 2 million pre-registrations, and after release, it ranked first among popular games on Google Play and tenth in revenue, showing steady progress.
