On the 15th, Kang Nam appeared as a one-day trainee dog owner on KBS 2TV's entertainment program 'Dogs Are Incredible' with his pet dog Paka.
Pika is a 5-year-old Golden Retriever and was a companion dog during the athletic career of his wife, figure skater Lee Sanghwa.
Kang Nam explained, "My wife lived alone as an athlete in Canada and raised Pika because she felt lonely," adding, "I have a dog named Gangbuk, but he wasn't feeling well today, so I came with Pika."
However, Kang Nam kept being pulled around by Pika. He confessed, "At home, Pika is well-behaved and calm. But when we go outside, he loses control."
He continued, "My mother-in-law wraps the leash around her waist like a belt when walking, but she falls because of Pika. Sanghwa contacted trainer Kang Hyungwook and received training for six months, but it reverted back to the original state."
In response, Kang Hyungwook advised, "You might think Lee Sanghwa wouldn't be pulled around by Pika given her stamina, but she is. It's important to develop good walking training habits."
Kang Hyungwook entrusted Lee Kyunggyu with Pika's walking training. Lee Kyunggyu held Pika's leash and began leading him slowly, and contrary to concerns, Pika started walking quietly alongside.
