View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] KOTRA announced on the 15th that it will launch the 'Domestic Companies Exclusive Branch Office' service by investing an emergency budget of 3.9 billion KRW. This project will be conducted by having trade experts at home and abroad act as overseas branches for domestic companies with no export experience and support marketing for six months.
Through the Domestic Companies Exclusive Branch Office project, services such as buyer discovery, market research, and client management will be provided locally overseas. Domestically, export specialists will offer practical consultations and consulting to enhance companies' export capabilities. KOTRA will also support 'test marketing' by producing product brochures for each company in e-book format, sending samples, and checking overseas market responses.
KOTRA actively reflected the demand of domestic companies in this branch office service. After a pilot operation as a special response project for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) this year, it plans to make it an official project by collecting field opinions.
Additionally, KOTRA will collaborate with local governments to partially support the budget. The goal is to reduce the participation fee burden for domestic companies while contributing to the revitalization of the regional economy.
