SKB Introduces TV Advertising Subscription System Operated by Advertisers
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] SK Broadband announced on the 15th that it will launch the 'Smart Big Ad' TV advertising online subscription system, which allows anyone to purchase and operate television advertisements. Smart Big Ad is a system that delivers data-driven targeted ads on real-time channels.
The newly launched online subscription system enables advertisers to directly manage their ads by setting the advertising budget, duration, and exposure regions. Customized TV targeted ads for each household are displayed between programs broadcast live on B tv, allowing TV advertising with a small budget similar to digital search ads. The minimum advertising cost starts from 100,000 KRW.
SK Broadband explained, "While PC or smartphone ads can be 'skipped,' TV ads guarantee full exposure," adding, "If viewers change the channel before the ad video ends, no charges are applied."
Additionally, since it provides various metrics such as exposure, drop-off, reach, and frequency based on objective measured data rather than estimated data like viewership ratings, advertisers can check the subscription progress and ad execution status anytime on PC or smartphone.
