A Kind Challenge Thinking of Clean Geumcheon!
Geumcheon-gu 'Dongnebangne Trash-OUT Challenge' Video and Photo Contest... Accepting All Photos and Videos Related to Household Waste Reduction... Submissions via Email, Visit, or Mail from July 1 to 31
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) is holding the ‘Neighborhood Trash-OUT Challenge Video and Photo Contest’ to foster social consensus on proper waste separation, resource recycling, and food waste reduction, and to encourage resident participation.
This contest, themed ‘My own know-how and commitment to reduce household waste by 10%,’ covers all content related to reducing household waste, including ▲Reducing household waste starting from my home ▲Sharing my own tips or ideas for reducing household waste ▲Practicing zero waste and plastic-free lifestyles ▲Making household items using recyclables (upcycling) ▲Ways to encourage proper waste separation ▲Commitments to reduce food waste.
For the video category, participants can freely create stories in formats such as advertisements, news, dramas, documentaries, animations, or films.
Video specifications require FHD resolution (1920×1080 pixels or less), mp4 file format, duration between 40 seconds and 2 minutes, and a maximum file size of 1GB.
For the photo category, participants should create stories matching the contest theme, submitting up to 10 photos each under 5MB. Files should be in jpg or png format with a total size not exceeding 50MB.
The contest is open to Geumcheon-gu residents, workers, and school members located in Geumcheon-gu.
Applications can be submitted from July 1 to 31 by downloading the application form from the ‘Notices’ section on the Geumcheon-gu Office website, filling it out, and submitting it via email (gctrashout@gmail.com), visiting the 11th floor Cleaning Administration Department at Geumcheon-gu Office, or by mail.
Submitted works will be uploaded to the YouTube channel from August 1 to 14, and resident engagement (likes, views) will be reflected in the judging process.
The judging process includes a first round based on resident engagement and individual judges’ reviews, selecting a total of 28 works (14 videos and 14 photos). In the second round, judges will comprehensively evaluate the selected works to award Grand Prize, Excellence, Encouragement, and Honorable Mention. Results will be posted on the website and notified individually in August.
The Grand Prize winners in both video and photo categories (one each) will receive a certificate and local gift certificates worth 500,000 KRW and 300,000 KRW respectively. Other winners for Excellence (3), Encouragement (5), and Honorable Mention (5) will also be awarded.
Detailed information about the contest will be available on the district website from June 15.
