Gyeongbuk Provincial Office of Education Provides COVID-19 Prevention Supplies to Parent Volunteer Groups
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] The Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education announced on the 14th that it delivered COVID-19 prevention supplies to a parent volunteer group on the 12th.
At the delivery ceremony held at the Office of Education, about 16 people attended, including Superintendent Lim Jong-sik, senior officials of the Gyeongbuk Office of Education, Kwon Do-kyung, president of the Gyeongbuk Green Mothers' Association, and Bae Jeong-hwa, president of the Gyeongbuk Student Counseling Volunteer Association. The support items included 27,000 cotton masks, 130 hand sanitizers, 800 personal hand sanitizers, and 350 disinfectants.
The Gyeongbuk Green Mothers' Association works to prevent traffic accidents involving children around schools and strives for safe commuting guidance. The Gyeongbuk Student Counseling Volunteer Association is also a parent volunteer group that helps children's and adolescents' character development and proper growth through counseling. These autonomously organized and operated groups have been actively conducting volunteer activities such as social distancing campaigns inside and outside schools since the reopening of schools.
