Shinhan Bank Launches 'HeyYoung', a Brand Exclusively for People in Their 20s
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] Shinhan Bank announced on the 12th that it will launch a new financial brand for customers in their 20s called 'Hey Young' and introduce exclusive new products and services.
The exclusive new products and services under Hey Young consist of ▲Money Box ▲Check Card ▲Mobile Platform, available to customers aged 18 to 29.
The Hey Young Money Box is a type of parking account service that offers an annual interest rate of 0.6% on up to 2 million KRW. Customers can sign up for the service through the mobile banking app 'Sol' and link one of their deposit or withdrawal accounts to freely deposit and withdraw balances.
The Hey Young Check Card provides cashback on payments made for frequently used services by customers in their 20s, including postpaid bus and subway transportation cards, automatic mobile phone bill payments, as well as purchases at GS25, CGV, Starbucks, Coupang, and more. The card design reflects the preferences of customers in their 20s, offering both a basic version and a Minions character version.
Along with the launch of the Hey Young brand, Shinhan Bank introduced the Hey Young Mode, a dedicated platform for customers in their 20s, within the Sol app. Using Hey Young Mode allows quick access to the most frequently used inquiry and transfer functions. Additionally, it provides easy guidance on financial items that young customers can use effectively.
To commemorate the launch of Hey Young, Shinhan Bank is holding the 'My Balance Flex' event until the 12th of next month, where customers who complete missions related to new financial service sign-ups will receive cash rewards. This event consists of 'Common My Account Balance Draw,' which lets customers check their account balance 10 years from now and receive cash rewards based on that balance, and 'Recruiting N-Bbang Party Members,' which shares a total prize of 60 million KRW among more than 10,000 participants completing each mission.
