Cosmeca Korea Develops 100% Food-Grade Cosmetics
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Cosmetics research, development, and manufacturing (ODM) company Cosmecca Korea announced on the 12th that it has developed food-grade cosmetics made from 100% food-grade ingredients.
Food-grade cosmetics refer to cosmetics made only from ingredients registered as food raw materials, ensuring safety and efficacy to the extent that they are harmless to the human body even if ingested.
Cosmetics have traditionally contained chemical ingredients such as parabens and silicones to enhance product efficacy and quality, but as awareness of their harmfulness has increased, consumers seeking cosmetics safe enough to eat have grown.
In Korea, it has been difficult to develop related products because it is challenging to replace all chemical ingredients with food-grade ingredients while maintaining quality and efficacy.
The food-grade cosmetics developed by Cosmecca Korea are not only free from the harmfulness of chemical ingredients but also sustainable and eco-friendly cosmetics that consider the future of the planet.
Using this technology, Cosmecca Korea plans to introduce a wide range of food-grade cosmetics, from basic products such as lotions and creams to cleansing products, packs, mask sheets, lip oils, lip balms, and lip glosses.
