Samsung Compliance Committee Appoints President Seong In-hee as Internal Member Succeeding President Lee In-yong
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] The Samsung Compliance Committee announced on the 11th that it has appointed Sung In-hee, President of Samsung's Corporate Social Responsibility Division, as the new internal member of Samsung.
Previously, the internal member position was vacant after Samsung Electronics President Lee In-yong announced his resignation on the 4th.
The Compliance Committee explained that seven affiliates including Samsung Electronics, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Samsung SDI, Samsung C&T, Samsung Life Insurance, and Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance held board meetings on the 11th and appointed President Sung based on the recommendation of Compliance Committee Chairman Kim Ji-hyung.
Kim Ji-hyung, Chairman of the Samsung Compliance Committee, said, "Following Lee In-yong, who devotedly served as a committee member during difficult times after the committee's launch, I hope President Sung will continue with continuity and play a progressive role."

President Sung previously served as Vice President of Samsung Human Resources Development Center and President of Samsung Fine Chemicals. In January, he was appointed to oversee corporate social responsibility, a role formerly held by Lee In-yong. He is currently also serving as CEO of the Samsung Life Public Welfare Foundation.
