Jeonbuk and Gwangju Banks Receive Positive Response for 10 AM Start Time Policy for Employees with Children Entering Elementary School
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Jeonbuk Bank and Gwangju Bank, affiliated with JB Financial Group, are drawing attention by delaying the start time for employees with first-grade elementary school children by one hour.
According to JB Financial on the 11th, the two banks have been implementing the ‘Childcare 10 AM Start System’ for employees with children entering elementary school since the 27th of last month for one month to minimize childcare gaps.
This system was introduced to accommodate parent employees who have busy commuting hours after the delayed school reopening due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). A total of 134 employees are using this system.
For the next month, the start time for these employees will be delayed by one hour from 9 AM to 10 AM. However, the end time remains the same as before, and full wages will be paid as usual.
