Busan City to Hold Monthly 'Walking Day' Events on the 11th in Expanded Autonomous Districts and Counties

Busan City announced on the 11th that following a pilot Walking Day promotional campaign held on the 11th of last month, starting this month, the campaign will be expanded to autonomous districts and counties to boost the spread of walking culture in daily life.
'Walking Day' is a city-wide campaign held with the intention that Busan citizens practice walking once a month, on the 11th of every month. The date '11' was chosen to symbolize legs.
To mark the June Walking Day, on the 11th at 8 a.m., a Walking Day promotional campaign will be held in the first-floor lobby of City Hall targeting employees and citizens, and seven districts including Seo-gu have agreed to actively participate in the campaign.
Busan City plans to use the simultaneous implementation of the Walking Day campaign in autonomous districts and counties in June as a stepping stone to plan diverse and interesting campaigns and walking activities together with the districts and counties every 11th of the month, aiming to spread walking culture in the daily lives of Busan citizens.
