Beverage Peak Season Begins... Smoothie King Launches Two 'Subak' Drinks
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Shinsegae Food's Smoothie King announced on the 11th that it will launch two new summer menu items using the seasonal fruit watermelon to welcome the full heat of summer.
Watermelon is made up of 90% water, helping to quench thirst and hydrate the body. It contains fructose, which provides sweetness, as well as glucose and potassium, which help lower body heat and relieve fatigue caused by the heat. In particular, it is loved as the best representative summer fruit because it is low in calories yet rich in vitamins A and C.
Smoothie King expects watermelon to receive a positive response as the intense heat exceeding 30 degrees Celsius has begun in earnest and record-breaking heatwaves are forecast for midsummer. To capture both coolness and health benefits, they introduced two new menu items: the ‘Watermelon Smoothie’ and the ‘Watermelon Juice.’
The ‘Watermelon Smoothie’ features the freshness of fresh watermelon combined with Smoothie King's nutritious powder 'Electro Light,' which is rich in electrolytes, allowing customers to experience both thirst relief and refreshment simultaneously. The ‘Watermelon Juice’ is made by blending domestically grown watermelons with excellent sweetness, allowing customers to enjoy the natural sweet taste and nutrition together.
