SK Broadband "Supporting 'Alley Economy Revitalization' through Local Channels"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] SK Broadband announced on the 10th that it will expand its local economy revitalization program to help local small business owners and residents struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
SK Broadband's local channel Hanbit Broadcasting (Gwangmyeong, Siheung, Ansan) will introduce "A Warm Meal," a program at the end of this month that purchases food ingredients from local alley markets and serves meals to low-income elderly, youth, workers, and quarantine personnel affected by COVID-19.
Seoul Broadcasting (Gangbuk, Gangseo, Gwangjin, Nowon, Dobong, Dongdaemun, Seodaemun, Seongdong, Jongno, Jung-gu) will air "Cheer Up Seoul," which introduces viewer stories and delivers goods from small business owners. Ginan Broadcasting (Anseong, Yongin, Icheon, Pyeongtaek) will schedule "On Market," focusing on traditional markets, in early July.
Since February this year, Seoul Broadcasting has been airing "This Is Seoul" (Fridays at 10:30 AM), a program that introduces hidden attractions and food in Seoul from a foreigner's perspective. Suwon Broadcasting's "Emotional Documentary Road" (Saturdays at 9 AM) explores local food and culture by visiting long-established stores in Suwon, Hwaseong, and Osan.
Jungbu Broadcasting (Sejong, Asan, Cheonan) airs "One Meal at the Market" (Saturdays at 7:30 PM), a program that highlights the value of traditional markets by experiencing ingredient purchasing and cooking together. Daegu Broadcasting (Nam-gu, Seo-gu, Jung-gu, Dalseo-gu) presents "I Am a Newcomer" (Tuesdays at 9:30 AM), where the MC experiences a day of corporate work and listens to the thoughts of small businesses and youth struggling due to the economic downturn.
