Park Ji-won: "North Korea's Severing of Inter-Korean Communication Lines Is Excessive... Kaesong Industrial Complex May Be Dismantled"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Former Minsaeng Party lawmaker Park Ji-won stated on the 10th that North Korea's declaration to sever all communication channels between the South and the North is excessive, saying, "I think it is excessive for North Korea to suddenly block four communication lines."
On the same day, on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus,' former lawmaker Park said, "Because the September 19 military agreement and the April 27 Panmunjom Declaration have not been implemented, North Korea is expressing many grievances towards us."
Regarding what North Korea called its 'first action,' former lawmaker Park explained, "Since they mentioned three things, I think it might involve measures concerning the facilities in Mount Kumgang or the Kaesong Industrial Complex," adding, "Currently, they are frozen, so if it progresses further, dismantling would be the only option."
Former lawmaker Park said, "North Korea has completely cut off communication channels seven times, including this time, since 1976," and added, "The government's very calm response is a very good thing. It should not last long."

Regarding Kim Yo-jong, First Deputy Director of the North Korean Workers' Party, former lawmaker Park said, "She has stepped to the forefront this time, which signifies her rising status, but unusually, a statement was published in the Rodong Sinmun," and added, "I see this as a strong message to U.S. President Trump, who is currently unable to pay attention to North Korea due to various domestic issues such as the presidential election, COVID-19, and racial discrimination."
