After eight days without local infections from May 27 to June 3, sporadic cases of 1 to 2 people each appeared in Yeongcheon and Gumi from June 4 to 6, raising concerns about the spread of transmission.
According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 9th, the cumulative number of confirmed cases remained at 1,341 as of midnight, the same as the previous day. The number of recovered patients increased to 1,263 as one patient hospitalized at Andong Medical Center was discharged the day before. The recovery rate is 94.18%.
The number of deaths in the Gyeongbuk region stands at 58. Twenty confirmed patients who have not yet recovered are receiving distributed treatment at Pohang Medical Center (9), Andong Medical Center (6), Dongguk University Gyeongju Hospital (4), and National Medical Center (1).
