Guro-gu Provides Employment Consulting Support for COVID-19 Affected Companies in G-Valley
Consultations on Various Systems and Support Policies for Stable Business Operations and Employment Retention... Public-Private Network, OJT Programs, and Other G-Valley Specialized Employment Environment Improvements 추진
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) announced on the 9th that it will provide employment consulting to support companies affected by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in G-Valley.
The target companies are about 50 IT and software-related companies located in G-Valley. Priority is given to companies that have implemented or plan to implement leave or furlough systems instead of layoffs after the COVID-19 outbreak, or those seeking to utilize government support programs.
The consulting covers ▲ personnel and labor management for stable business operations and employment retention, such as the use of annual leave, implementation of flexible working hours, and wage processing methods ▲ guidance and linkage to various support programs, including employment retention subsidies, indirect labor cost support, and emergency family care cost support. Certified labor consultants analyze each company's basic status and survey data to provide one-on-one customized counseling. Additionally, major COVID-19 related issues are compiled into manuals and distributed to G-Valley companies.
Furthermore, Guro-gu is promoting the ‘G-Valley Specialized Employment Environment Improvement Project’ to create a virtuous cycle where strengthening corporate competitiveness leads to improved working conditions. To this end, 17 organizations including the government, local governments, industry, and related institutions formed and have been operating the ‘G-Valley Job Creation Cooperation Network’ since 2018 to seek solutions to job-related issues.
They have also established the ‘G-Valley Dedicated Job Sharing Platform,’ which gathers various contents such as employment and startup information, promotion of excellent companies, corporate support policies, and consulting application and reception in one place. To address recruitment issues such as frequent job changes and lack of specialized skills and to nurture core talents who will lead the 4th industrial revolution, they conduct ‘On-the-Job Training (OJT)’ manager education.
