Forbes announced on the 7th (local time) that BTS ranked 47th in the 'Top 100 Highest-Earning Celebrities Worldwide in 2020' list.
According to the report, BTS earned $50 million (approximately 60.225 billion KRW).
In particular, the media analyzed, "BTS was the second highest-earning musical act after Metallica. In 2019, they earned $170 million (approximately 204.7 billion KRW). Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, BTS's earnings decreased."
Previously, BTS ranked joint 43rd with Bradley Cooper in last year's list. Although they dropped four places this year, they still secured a spot within the top 50, proving their global influence.
Meanwhile, the first place was taken by Kylie Jenner of the Kardashian family, who earned $590 million (approximately 711 billion KRW). Kanye West ranked second. Tennis legend Federer was third, followed by Ronaldo in fourth, Messi in fifth, and Neymar in seventh, with sports stars filling the ranks.
