24-Hour Military Service Administration Consultation App 'Ara'
[Asia Economy Reporter Yang Nak-gyu] Starting from the 8th, a chatbot service called 'Ara' that supports year-round 24-hour consultation related to military service administration will be launched.
According to the Military Manpower Administration on the day, the 'Ara' service provides 24-hour consultation related to military service administration throughout the year and allows 39 types of civil complaint applications without the need to fill out separate forms. It is expected that civil complaint applications, which were only possible during weekday working hours, will become much easier.
The service can be accessed by connecting to the Military Manpower Administration's mobile app and website or by adding the Military Manpower Administration as a friend on KakaoTalk Plus Friend.
However, exceptional questions and consultations such as personal grievances that fall outside the scope of laws and regulations must still be handled through general professional counselors as before.
When checking personal information such as enlistment dates or submitting civil complaint documents, identity verification procedures must be followed. In addition to mobile phone and public certificate authentication methods, the blockchain authentication (DID) method, which allows identity verification via fingerprint, has been applied for the first time by the government.
