Gwangju City Distributes Road Name Address Stickers for Emergency Reporting
Distributed from the 8th to New Residents and Vulnerable Groups... Available at Administrative Welfare Centers
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 7th that it will distribute ‘Emergency Situation Reporting Road Name Address Stickers’ to help households unfamiliar with road name addresses, such as newly relocated households, foreign workers, and multicultural families, report emergencies more quickly and accurately.
Gwangju produced 10,000 stickers and distributed them to each autonomous district. Starting from the 8th, residents visiting the Dong Administrative Welfare Center for relocation registration and other purposes can write their addresses directly on the stickers for use.
It is expected that newly relocated households and socially vulnerable groups, who are relatively unfamiliar with road name addresses, will become accustomed to using the road name address as their daily address, and in case of emergencies, they will be able to provide accurate addresses to rescue agencies, securing golden time through rapid dispatch and saving precious lives.
