Gwangju City to Conduct Comprehensive Inspection of Construction Machinery Business Starting from the 8th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 7th that it will conduct a comprehensive inspection of the operation status and illegal activities of construction machinery businesses from the 8th of this month to the 3rd of next month.
This inspection will be carried out by a joint inspection team formed with five autonomous districts, the Korea Construction Machinery Association, the Korea Construction Machinery Maintenance Association, and the Korea Construction Machinery Sales Association, targeting 279 construction machinery operators within the jurisdiction.
The main inspection items by industry are ▲for construction machinery rental businesses, verification of yard facilities ▲for maintenance businesses, securing maintenance technicians, possession of maintenance facilities, and compliance with standards ▲for sales businesses, verification of yard facilities, and securing deposit certificates or guarantee insurance for defect deposits of 50 million won or more.
In particular, the plan is to focus on cracking down on illegal acts that undermine a sound market order, such as ▲using or operating unregistered or deleted construction machinery ▲renting out privately owned construction machinery ▲falsely registering the manufacturing year of tower cranes ▲parking construction machinery in residential areas or vacant lots ▲performing maintenance without meeting registration standards such as maintenance facility requirements.
Gwangju City plans to correct minor violations on-site based on inspection results, and to eradicate illegal activities through strong measures such as administrative sanctions and criminal charges for major violations.
