A man in his 50s arrested for killing a woman with a weapon in an officetel at dawn
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] A man in his 50s who visited an officetel in the early morning hours and killed a woman has been arrested by the police.
The Gangbuk Police Station in Seoul announced on the 5th that they have arrested Mr. A on suspicion of murder and are currently investigating him.
Mr. A is accused of stabbing a woman in her 40s, Ms. B, with a weapon at an officetel in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, around 3 a.m. that day, causing her death.
Mr. A surrendered to the police immediately after the crime and was arrested by the officers who arrived at the scene. When the police arrived, Ms. B was already deceased.
Mr. A attempted self-harm with the weapon after killing the victim, but it is reported that his life is not in danger. He is currently receiving treatment after being transferred to a hospital.
