Gwangyang-si Jungmadong Bareugesalgi Movement Committee Conducts Environmental Cleanup Activities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Barugesalgi Movement Committee of Jungma-dong, Gwangyang City (Chairman Kim Su-geun) announced that it carried out environmental cleanup activities around Samhwa Island in Jungma-dong on the 3rd in celebration of Environment Day.
About 30 members of the Barugesalgi Movement Committee in Jungma-dong conducted environmental cleanup activities such as removing sediment and weeds and collecting trash to provide a pleasant environment around Samhwa Island and the Rainbow Bridge, which are beloved resting places and walking paths for citizens.
Chairman Kim Su-geun said, “It is rewarding to see the area around Samhwa Island, a resting place for many citizens, become clean through the Clean Day activities,” and added, “I will continue to actively participate in volunteer activities for a clean Jungma-dong.”
