Until November, they will identify the characteristics, causes, and frequent locations of elderly traffic accidents and seek solutions to create a safe traffic culture for the elderly, who are vulnerable road users.
Activities include investigating the current status of elderly protection zones and finding solutions, elderly traffic safety education, informing about the elderly driver license return system, identifying causes and seeking solutions for pedestrian traffic accident hotspots, assessing the exposure of elderly people collecting recyclables to traffic accidents, and ensuring compliance with speed limits in Silver Zones.
They will also continue the ‘Elderly Traffic Safety Nam-gu Program’ with campaigns to observe the Safe Speed 5030 policy, elderly traffic safety monitoring activities (submitting reports to the Safety Newspaper), and presentations of volunteer results.
On the afternoon of the 3rd, the Student Affairs Office of Dongmyung University held an orientation for the ‘No(老) Accident NO Accident’ program at Room 106 of the University Headquarters Management Building, attended by the participating students and hosted by the Busan Nam-gu Volunteer Center.
