[Public Notice+] Pharmicell "Continued Global Supply of Nucleosides... Cumulative Order Amount Exceeds 10 Billion Won"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Pharmicell announced on the 3rd that it has received an additional order of approximately $800,000 (about 1 billion KRW) worth of nucleosides from Sigma-Aldrich, a subsidiary of the global pharmaceutical company Merck, along with consecutive additional orders from ThermoFisher Scientific, the worldwide supplier of nucleosides.
ThermoFisher Scientific in the United States and Sigma-Aldrich in Europe are the largest global suppliers of phosphoramidites. They receive nucleosides supplied by Pharmicell and reprocess them into phosphoramidites, which are then supplied to major global pharmaceutical companies such as Qiagen and Roche. These large pharmaceutical companies process phosphoramidites into gene therapies, diagnostic kits, and other products.
A company representative stated, “Continuous supply requests for nucleosides are ongoing from our major clients, ThermoFisher Scientific and Sigma-Aldrich, two global pharmaceutical companies,” and added, “In terms of order volume, we have secured sales exceeding 10 billion KRW, significantly surpassing last year’s total nucleoside sales of 7.1 billion KRW.”
